ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will carry out groundbreaking of the Karachi Round Railway challenge on Monday (at the moment).
In an announcement, Railways Minister Azam Khan Swati stated that PM Imran Khan will arrive in Karachi at the moment to put the inspiration stone of the round railway challenge. The groundbreaking ceremony of the KCR challenge will probably be held on the Cantonment Railway Station within the metropolis.
Swati stated that the KCR challenge will probably be accomplished in three years with a value of Rs207 billion. The KCR’s 29-kilometre monitor can have 16 stations and 24 stage crossings.
Frontier Works Group (FWO) will lay the monitor for the KCR, he stated, including that computerized air-conditioned coaches will probably be run on the monitor.
Every practice will comprise a locomotive and 4 coaches, the minister stated, including that the practice will facilitate 814 passengers at a time.
International tenders will probably be invited for procurement of the trains, Swati added.
Sindh govt to supply Rs6bn for KCR
Earlier in July, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had reiterated that the provincial authorities was dedicated to offering Rs6 billion for improvement work to make the Karachi Round Railway (KCR) absolutely operational.
Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah, whereas presiding over a gathering on the KCR on the CM Home, had vowed to fulfil his dedication concerning the challenge. He had urged the railways authorities to get the PC-I of the challenge accepted by the federal authorities.
