The Board of Management for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday unveiled its nationwide group’s package for the ICC Males’s T20 World Cup, slated to start from October 17.
The brand new package is named the ‘Billion Cheers Jersey’ which replaces the 1992 World Cup pattern-like jersey the group had been sporting since late 2020.
The cricket board shared an image of skipper Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah donning the brand new package.
It captioned the image: “Presenting the Billion Cheers Jersey! The patterns on the jersey are impressed by the billion cheers of the followers.”
In one other tweet, the BCCI wrote: “Fuelled by the billion blessings, Workforce India is able to don the brand new jersey and produce out their A-game.”
“Get able to cheer for #TeamIndia and #ShowYourGame,” it added.
Whereas the followers beloved their favorite cricketers donning the brand new package, a Twitterati @DennisCricket — identified for his jokes about cricketers — took a jibe on the new package.
The journalist shared an image of 5 blue rubbish bins, captioning it as “India’s T20 World Cup package has been revealed.”
